Hyderabad: Telangana IT and Industries Minister, Duddilla Sridhar Babu, has unveiled plans to establish two new IT parks in the suburban areas of Hyderabad. During a high-level discussion on Tuesday at the Secretariat with representatives of Dew Software, which has committed an investment of Rs.100 crore, the minister reaffirmed the government’s vision to expand the state’s IT sector.
"Hyderabad has positioned itself as a thriving IT hub, drawing substantial investments from global players. To sustain this momentum, we are planning two new IT parks on the city's outskirts, following the model of HITEC City," Sridhar Babu stated.
He further announced the decision on X.
The government has initiated a comprehensive study to finalize the ideal locations and land requirements for these projects. "We are assessing multiple locations to ensure these parks have excellent connectivity and accessibility, making it easier for both employees and investors," the minister elaborated.
The upcoming IT parks will be equipped with world-class infrastructure and modern facilities catering to professionals. "We will integrate advanced transport systems and other essential amenities to facilitate smooth commuting from different parts of the city," Sridhar Babu assured.
Recognizing the challenges industries face in acquiring land, the minister highlighted the state's efforts to introduce a structured land allocation policy. "Currently, there is no streamlined policy for industrial land allocation, which has been a hurdle for businesses. Our new framework will ensure land is assigned based on investment size and job creation potential," he explained.
Dew Software’s Rs.100 crore investment marks a significant step in strengthening Hyderabad’s IT ecosystem. The minister emphasized that this initiative would generate employment for 900 professionals over the next five years. "This investment underscores Hyderabad’s appeal as a premier IT destination and reinforces our commitment to fostering innovation and economic growth," he added.
With these developments, Hyderabad continues to cement its reputation as a leading technology hub in India.
